Making Sustainability the Next Metric: the Post-2015 Development Agenda - South Asian Consultation

Chair, SAPRI, H.E. Chandrika Kumaratunga, Former President of Sri Lanka speaking at the South Asian Consultation of the Annual Poverty Symposium of the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), in November 2013, on the theme, “Making Sustainability the Next Metric: the Post-2015 Development Agenda”.

She also chaired the session on Governance and Sustainable Development of the Symposium, in which His Excellency Cassam Uteem, former President of Mauritius and Mr. Asoka Gunawardene, Director, CEPA were the other speakers.

SAPRI joined the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), Sri Lanka, the Centre for Policy Dialogue (Bangladesh), the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (Pakistan) and Practical Action (Sri Lanka), at the 12th CEPA Symposium on 6th and 7th of November 2013 targeting to advance and compliment the Southern Voice Initiative (Centre for Policy Dialogue) to increase southern think tank perspectives and ideas with a potential to influence the high-level discussions on the post-2015 Sustainable Development framework.
